I dropped off the face of the earth this week. My excuse is the fabulous weekend I spent in California and the red eye flight back to Madison. I've been trying to catch up on my sleep and haven't spent much time cooking as is evidenced by what I ate: hamburgers, ravioli, ham steak, delivered pizza, and "boxed" chili. (yes, that's right, the chili we eat now comes in a box)

Back to the weekend in California. I had a blast. I feel like I had nice visits with everyone I saw. And I want to thank Laura, especially for carting me around and allowing me to stay with her and Will. The shopping, trip to Davis, engagement party, brunch, and reception site viewing was such fun. I feel like I was able to reconnect with everyone. It is amazing how friends can go for months without seeing each other and can fall right back into their old ways, as if nothing has changed.
